The high school marquee reads "Coach Dunn, We will miss you.. Our coach, our friend, our family." Coach Dunn's legacy is not just baseball success, but faith, family, and friends.

Arrangements have been made and are as follows:

Visitation at Dawson Church 5-8pm Tuesday, website for contact info, directions and parking instructions are at www.dawsonchurch.org. Many, many thanks to Dr. Gary Fenton and the Dawson church family for their unwavering support during Coach Dunn's illness.

Funeral at Dawson 2pm on Wednesday with burial at Ridout's Southern Heritage, 475 Cahaba Valley Road Pelham, AL 205-988-3511. They are expecting a capacity crowd in the sanctuary and are setting up tv and overflow capabilities in the fellowship hall.

A reception in the school lunchroom will be held after the graveside for anyone who wants to attend. Coach Dunn loved to include people and loved to eat, so the family thought this would be the best way to provide some fellowship for those who want to do so. If you contacted Melissa Gunnells about providing food, she will be in touch via email regarding a food assignment. Her home phone is 979-6631 and email is mjgunnells@aol.com. It's going to be a simple menu of pick up food, chips, and dessert. The senior baseball moms are serving and Peg Beard is coordinating for the school.

Finally, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in one of two ways either to the Sammy Dunn Memorial Fund or the Vestavia Baseball Program. Contact info is as follows:
